I graduated from the University of Bologna, the oldest veterinary
school in the world, in 1982. Going to vet school in Europe was at
times both overwhelming and exhilarating. I worked with vets in
Italy, Switzerland, Ireland, England and Spain and saw multiple
approaches to the art of veterinary medicine. Along the way I
learned Italian, French and Spanish, dabbled in international rugby
and perfected my cooking skills...my bond with animals is very deep
and it defines who I am as a person. I truly feel that our
relationship with animals enlightens and transforms us. All
Creatures is a family of caring individuals dedicated to the
critters that we care for.
Dr. William Moffat, D.V.M.
Dr. William Moffat graduated from Washington State University
College of Veterinary Medicine in 1961. Dr. Moffat is licensed to
practice in the states of Washington and California. Prior to
joining our practice in 1991, he owned a private practice in the
state of Washington for thirty-nine years; this successful hospital
was eventually sold to Veterinary Centers of America (VCA) just
prior to Dr. Moffat relocating to Palm Springs and becoming a
valuable member of our hospital team. Dr. Moffat continues to
develop his special interests of surgery, internal medicine and
emergency medicine through regular participation in continuing
education and training programs.
Dr. Moffat has been happily married to his wife Jean Moffat for
forty-seven years; they have one son and two grandchildren.
Support Staff
Kelly Dunn; Practice Manager, Animal Health Technician
My name is Kelly Dunn. I have been in the veterinary field since
1980. My children consist of 2 miniature schnauzers and 1 Siamese
cat. I chose this profession not only for my love of animals but the
fulfillment I receive by looking into the critters eyes. Knowing
that I helped put the sparkle back in them, by taking care of them
when they are sick and in need. I have enjoyed being part of All
Creatures veterinary care for the last 13 years not only because of
the good medicine that is practiced, but truly because the doctors
and staff treat all the critters as one of their own.
I am the file clerk at All Creatures Vet Care. I have been working
here for seven years. I am happily married to my husband; together
we have two teenage daughters. We have three cats Amanda, Taz and
Missy. We are also fostering two kittens until we can find them a
good home.
Rene Hopkins, Animal Health Technician
Hi, my name is Rene Hopkins. I have been a Veterinary Technician for
21 years. I have been at All Creatures for 10 years. An animal is
part of the family and I have the ability to help keep that special
someone happy & healthy. I have 3 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, goats,
turtles & birds (chickens, ducks, guineas, parrots & turkeys).
Animals are my life.
Joanie McGee, Client Service Representative
Hello...my name is Joanie, and I've worked with Drs.
Fenton, McConnell and Moffat since we opened over 15 years ago. My
rescue animals are my "kids"...and I feel that our clients' pets
belong to me, too! I work in the reception area and love to see the
animals and hear stories from our clients about their pets. It makes
me happy when pets get well and find good homes where they are loved
and cared for.
Donna Gibb, Client Service Representative
My name is Donna Gibb. I have been employed at All
Creatures for 6 1/2 years and worked in the veterinary field for 18
years, starting with Dr. Herman Salk in Palm Springs. I live in
Morongo Valley with several feline room-mates, a Pit Bull terrier, a
Columbian boa constrictor and a Beta fish. I have had the good
fortune of working with many wonderful people who share the same
concern for animal welfare.
Elizabeth "Pinkie" Anderson, Client Service Representative
I am a graduate of Calexico High School and I attended
Imperial Valley College where I obtained my state certification as a
bi-lingual teacher’s aide. I worked for the Calexico Unified School
District for 9 years. I have lived in La Quinta since 1980, where my
husband, Leighton, and I run a dog care service called ‘Pinkie’s
Place’. We have three sons and an 8-year-old Samoyed named ‘Ozzy’.
Over 20 years ago I started working with horses with Dr. Steve
Carter of Desert Equine Hospital. There I worked with Dr. Carter in
every aspect of a veterinary practice from receptionist to assisting
in surgery. Eventually I became Desert Equine’s office and ranch
manager. It was quite an adventure working for Desert Equine; not
only did we treat horses but we also got to treat exotics such as
camels, giraffes, bison, ostriches, zebras and many more. In 1993 I
went to work as a receptionist for All Creatures Veterinary Care
after Dr. Carter sold his practice. At All Creatures Veterinary Care
the adventure continues. All Creatures takes care of more than just
dogs and cats; the doctors treat equine and exotics, too. During my
time in the veterinary field I have attended and passed a number of
computer training courses. I have also been certified to do EIA
coggins. For someone who loves working with animals and people, this
is a great job.
There are pictures of my dog, Ozzy, and a link to his surgery photos
